no credit check phone bad credit mobile

Need a no credit check phone?

If you’ve recently moved house and you haven’t had a BT telephone line in the last few years, you will probably find BT want to run a credit check on you before they switch the phone line on.

BT are sick of people running off with not paying bills, so they want your address history to find out if you have any bad credit.

The good news is that even though the lines are run and maintained by BT there are other providers/billing companies that can switch your BT line on for you.

It’s important to pick one of these billing companies that do not run a credit check, so you get a no credit check phone.  It will probably be the case that they will give you a small credit limit for calls, but it will get you connected.

Bad credit mobile contracts?

In a similar way if you have a lot of bad credit history you maybe looking for a no credit check mobile phone contract.  Because the capital cost of a handset is quite high, networks are often unwilling to trust people with bad credit with a new contract and expensive handset.

However, if you look for a sim only deal where you have a monthly charge and no free mobile, the credit check is far less strict.

You can buy a blackberry storm, iphone 3gs, nokia n71 or any other up-to-date mobile on eBay, and just put the sim in it no problems.

haha brill, had no idea you could get a mobile contract if you had bad credit history. I’m off down to carphone warehouse in the morning.

Actually, it is true, BT are pretty ruthless when it comes to doing credit checks on people. They don’t take any bs from anyone. All those bad credit junkies out there should watch their step. Mike

Would anyone be able to tell me who the best provider is for getting a mobile contract with no credit check. I’m a bit low on cash now because I have been out of work for 6 months now but my contract has expired and I need a new one. Any thoughts?

Mark, try orange or vodafone. My credit score is really bad at the moment following a CCJ last year but I was still able to get a no credit check bad credit mobile. It was a massive relief for me as like you my contract also expired and I was fearing that the good deal I had with Orange would not be renewed because of the change in circumstances of my credit worthiness. I found orange both helpful and sympathetic to my situation. They renewed the contract and I am absolutely delighted. All the very best Kevin Peters

The article talks about BT. BT run landlines. This is not in keeping with the title and the images on the post. We want to know about bad credit mobile phones and don’t really care too much about BT.

Get a life, mobile phones are just a scam. Pay as you go is the lesser evil.

I just don’t believe that some of the big providers like vodafone and orange give out bad credit mobile contracts.

Unbelievable article – I don’t believe it at all.

Judging by the tone of your conversatiuon sarah, it looks like yo probably have a perfect credit history. There are many peole out there that are struggling through know fault of their own. Perhaqps they have lost their job and are failing to make ends meet. Why should the large providers not offer them the option to have a mobilr phone without the expensive monthly tied ibn contract that you miss prim amd proper would underttake.

Its no hardship for a mobile phone provider to provide someone with bad credit vwith a rudementary phone service.

As long as the person buys their phone outright and commits to a prepaid limit where is the risk? The answer is none.

The risk is when someone runs up a massive phone bill and cannot pay it back – this is the scenario that the mobile phone company fears most. Ok it is a theoretical loss and not a realised loss but even so someone running up a bill of hundreds of pounds and not paying it back must make big mobile phone providers like Vodafone and Orange absolutely seeth.

Despite all the comments on the blog I still can’t believe that big mobile phone providers like Vodafone and Orange give contracts to people that have a dubious credit score.

Its true BT must go through a living nightmare with people running off without paying their bills.

Just because you have bad credit does not mean that you should be stopped from getting a mobile phone. All the mobile phone provider needs to do is make sure that you can’t run up any unpaid phone calls. IThey can do this by simply offering you a pay as you go phone. Not rocket science is it.

Try Orange. They seem to have a little bit more tolerence towards those with a bad credit history.

It must be infuriating if you have a problem with your credit score and because of this are unable to get a mobile phone contract. Everyone needs a mobile phone these days and not to have access to one is very difficult indeed on your quality of life.

I think there are some useful companies out there like Just phones who seem to be able to get mobile phone contracts even for those with a bad credit history. They are well worth a try. Google them. I did and wasn’t disappointed. I am a bad credit person and desperately needed a mobile phone. They helped me out.
